The Client

Glen Garioch, founded in 1797 in the ancient market town of Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire is one of the oldest whisky distilleries operating in Scotland, the home of whisky. The most easterly distillery in bonny Scotland still crafts its Highland malt whisky the same way today as it did back in 1797.

Produced in small precious batches, Glen Gairoch malt whisky is known for its heartiness, creamy texture and wholesome malt flavours making it one of the most sought after small batch Highland whisky’s in the world.

The Strategy

Glen Garioch wanted to open the availability of their small-batch whisky products to new international markets.

They also wanted to increase online exposure and brand awareness by ranking their whisky products in search results ahead of the big supermarket chains and online off licences.

The Results

Firstly, an onsite SEO audit was performed in order to evaluate the strength and weaknesses of the current website and campaign readiness. Our findings ensured the site was being properly indexed and ranked in search engine result pages.
