After launching a series of new websites in Apac regions the client noticed a dramatic decrease in visitors to their websites. The brief was to find the issue and return the sites to their previous traffic numbers.
Completing a series of full site audits we became aware that the design company hadn’t integrated a new site transfer plan, forgetting to correctly map the old URLs to new URLs and also transfer the metadata to the new sites.
After implementing a full new site transfer plan and improving the metadata and content structure of the new websites the client’s visitor numbers returned to their original numbers within 6 weeks and traffic to the website continued to grow for a further 8 months.
After analysing the off-site elements of the website we offered a range of off-site strategies, such as maximising the group Wiki page, traffic continued to grow for a further 6 months.
