A big Ho Ho Ho and welcome back to the Boyd Digital SEO Advent Calendar. All through this festive period we’ll be giving you the best daily tips to help you work with ease. It could be the little things we’ve forgotten to check up on or the bad habits we need to get rid of. Whatever the tip we’ll be giving them to you with a pinch of Christmas cheer.

Day 16: Trending
It’s getting to that point where panic buyers frantically search for their gifts. Search through local social updates to see if your company can help out those stuck for ideas.

Day 17: Alert Yourself
Targeting a specific audience? Set up a google alert to keep yourself informed as to what people are saying.

Day 18: Go Internal
If you’ve been selling a seasonal product then make sure it’s visible on the homepage and not linking to somewhere external.

Day 19: Re-land
You’ll probably have set up your Christmas page earlier in the year. If you plan on having a New Year sale make sure this page has already been created. It can even just be a landing page for now as long as it’s been listed.

Day 20: Content
If you’re running a company blog make sure you haven’t been slack on it this month. Many companies plan for Christmas in advance, but don’t update during the most important time of the month business wise.

Day 21: Anchor’s up
If that blog is being updated then please remember NOT to pump your keyword in there and stuff the post full of hyperlinks. It’ll come off looking cheap and desperate.

Day 22: Tag It
Make sure that page you made for New Year has a concise title tag. Advertise the sale first, not the content.

Day 23: Tidy
It’s too close to the big day to make any drastic changes that will leave you worried over the holiday. Make sure to check over your sites and profiles. A quick proof read at least can leave you in the right piece of mind.

Day 24: Go Away.
You’ve worked hard all year. Now’s the time to relax so switch off the computer and go have some fun.
