Scottish housing charity Shelter has recently launched a marketing campaign via Foursquare where they will give Android and Iphone users special offers such as 3 for 2 on products when they check in on Foursquare using their phone.
It’s a nice use of Foursquare and it’s great to see a charity looking at those sorts of marketing campaign, however in this instance I think they have missed the target market and wonder if they carried out market reach on the customer base prior to launching this campaign.
However, the other marketing going on by Shelter is fantastic, there twitter account ShelterScotland is regularly updated with helpful content and links and I was very impressed with the “Make Your Gift” campaign on Facebook that encourages there and then to make a donation, which I did.
